Because
we arrived late we had to stay after dinner and clean the hall. I was so mad and embarrassed but not Cinder. She knew how to make anything seem fun. Soon we were having a water fight and
throwing bubbles at each other. Then the
door opened and a voice said, "Girls, just look at the mess you've
made!"
We
all dropped our sponges and buckets and turned around with horrified looks on our
faces. The boys doubled over in
laughter. Cinder immediately picked up
her bucket and threw the water. It hit
most of them and the fight was on again except this time it was the girls
against the boys. After a while we were
all tired and decided to clean up before any of the counselors caught us. When that was done we all left the dining
hall together. At the fork in the path
the boys headed off to the right and the girls went left.
"Later!" Jonas said.
He was leader for his cabin.
"See
ya!" Cinder replied with a smirk.
We
talked and giggled all the way back to our cabin but one look from the cabin
counselor and we immediately quieted down and climbed into our beds. Camp is going to be great this summer, I
mumbled to Cinder as we drifted off to sleep.
